ACDA Conference Chicago ~ Wednesday, March 9th to
Friday, March 11th
Did you know that the Troubadours were selected by audition from over 300 choirs across the country to be one of only FOUR high school SATB choirs to be featured in performace at the biennial American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) National Conference in Chicago, Illinois? They performed in the famed Orchestra Hall on March 11, 2011 before an audience of several thousand choral directors from around the world. This is one of the greatest honors in the world of choral music!
Congratulations Troubadours……GO BARONS!!!

San Diego ALL CHOIRS Tour ~ Friday, April 1st to Saturday,
April 2nd:
Originally planned for only a select few choirs, Mr. Tison decided to take ALL our students (6 different performing choirs) to an overnight festival in San Diego. In his 10 years of teaching, he has led this trip to San Diego each year and the students love it! It involves bus transportation, hotel in San Diego, dinner in Old Towne, music festival (each group performing and receiving adjudication), full-day admission to Sea World, private shows, buffet dinner, awards ceremony and dance (all in Sea World)! Groups travel to beautiful, sunny Southern California from all over the country to this festival, and it is quite competitive. His desire last year was to take ALL of our incredibly strong groups and go down and conquer this competition! It was a very fun trip, great food, great “bonding” for all the students and a very accessible and affordable location!
Las Vegas Concert Choir Tour ~ Thursday, April 14th to Monday, April 18th:
This trip began with heading to the Vegas area and doing an exchange with a local high school choir program. They also competed in the Heritage Festival in Vegas (CC, TB, BT) and enjoyed some activities in the area, including a great buffet dinner and a spectacular (and appropriate) Vegas show! The trip concluded with a “desert adventure” for everyone which will involve the Hoover Dam….very adventurous and memorable (and a great workout)!! :) The trip included all meals, bus transportation (2 busses), music festival and a variety of other activities and was a fun and unique trip with the best of our singers!
