We wish to welcome you to the exceptional Fountain Valley Vocal Music Program, including our six choirs: Trouveres, Baron Choir, Les Chantuers, Baron Tones, Concert Choir, and the Troubadours. The Vocal Music Program of Fountain Valley High School is a special and dedicated group of approximately 150 high school students. Our singers represent strong diversity, including students of multiple ethnicities, special academic needs, athletic teams, and top scholars. Many of these students regularly give back to our community by singing at their place of worship and other community events. Each of our choirs perform each year at numerous locations at home and abroad, consistently earning the highest of recognition and award.
The Vocal Music Parent Association (VMPA) is a booster organization formed to provide organizational and financial support to the Fountain Valley Vocal Music Program; to develop avenues of communication between the school and community; to foster a closer relationship between parents and student; and most importantly to provide an atmosphere of encouragement where each student’s musical experiences can be positive and enriching! The strength of the VMPA is found in parent supporters who are committed individuals that are willing to put in the extra effort, time, and have the positive attitude to ensure our students have every opportunity to do their best to succeed.
The VMPA is a non-profit organization (501c3) of volunteer family members of the Fountain Valley High School choir programs. VMPA’s sole purpose is to support students in ways that the school system cannot, both financially and logistically. The entire amount of any tax deductible donation is used exclusively to directly benefit these students and their vocal music experience. VMPA is dedicated to appropriate recognition to all sponsors and has several ways of doing this in direct partnership with its supporters.
Although the music programs benefit from wonderful support and recognition from the school and its administration, financial support falls well short of the current needs. The program’s greatest needs are in its ability to assist the students in touring, performing and competing at local, national and international venues. It is our hope that you would consider utilizing a portion of your budget to support the future of the Vocal Arts and this deserving group of students.
