America, of Thee We Sing Concert in Historic Hall

Wanted to let you know about our exciting Spring Showcase and Senior Recognition that is taking place this coming Wednesday, March 29th.

This concert celebrates the music of America and pays special tribute to our arm!d forces and all of those who have served and continue to serve! Any military personnel are our special guests, and we welcome them to this tribute concert at no charge! They just need to identify themselves as such and sign in at the ticket table!

All 7 of our high school choirs will be performing, ranging from jazz, gospel, spirituals, folk songs, and patriotic favorites! As I mentioned, our military folks will be asked to stand and be recognized for their service, as their particular branch of military is presented through song!

The conclusion of the concert will be a moving tribute of Amazing Grace, performed by all 250 singers, accompanied by one of the largest pipe organs on the West Coast, as well as the musical expertise of Joel Daniels, a 20-year retired Marine who will be playing bagpipes.

You will not want to miss this night!!

Tickets are $12 premium (first choice of seating), $8 general seating and $5 for students and our Vocal Music alumni.

The concert will be taking place at the beautiful and historic First Congregational Church at 241 Cedar Ave in downtown Long Beach. The performance will begin at 7:10 p.m. (not the 6:45 on the flyer). A spectacular venue for this event!

I hope you will make plans to attend this concert (a nice treat for all of us Long Beach residents)… It will be a special and moving night as we pay honor to our country and those who fight for our freedoms!!
