Tara Pitt – Choreography

Tara Pitt has been working with FVHS Choirs since 2000. She has helped to produce, direct and choreograph the Broadway show, as well as a few numbers for other concerts and tours. Tara has produced, directed and choreographed for theaters and schools all over LA and Orange Counties. Credits include “Carrie, the musical”, “Mamma Mia”, “The Drowsy Chaperone”, “Sister Act”, “9 to 5”, “Little Shop of Horrors “, “Into The Woods”, “The 25th Annual…Spelling Bee”, “The Sound of Music”, “Annie”, “Grease”, “West Side Story”, “Joseph…Dreamcoat” and “Godspell”. She is the composer for the acclaimed musicals “Natalie Portman The Musical!” and “Christian Bale The Musical”, both making their debuts in LA within the last decade. 

 

Tara is also an award-winning performer and has been seen on many stages throughout Southern CA, including the Disneyland Resort (AGVA member). Past roles include Miss Scarlet (Clue), Helena (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Judy (9 to 5), Magenta (The Rocky Horror Show), Helen (Night of the Living Dead), Rose (Gypsy), Sarah (The Toxic Avenger the Musical), Baker’s Wife (Into The Woods), Natalie Portman (Natalie Portman The Musical), Laura (High Fidelity), Cathy (The Last 5 Years), Alaura/Carla (City of Angels), Maria (The Sound of Music), Amy (Company), Catherine (Proof), Mary (Merrily We Roll Along).

Dan Querry – Asst. Director/Guitar

Daniel Querry is a 2008 graduate of Fountain Valley High School and an alumni of this great Vocal Music Program, being a part of Troubadours and Concert Choir for his sophomore, junior, and senior years.  As a section leader and student director, Daniel traveled with the troubadours throughout Europe for the Germany/Austria and France international tours, and has competed state-wide and internationally as a solo vocalist as well.  Daniel was the recipient of the Vocal Music Coronet Award and accompanying scholarship at the conclusion of his senior year in 2008.


Daniel continued in music throughout college and beyond, teaching voice/piano/guitar/drums to students and adults across Orange County.  He works weekly with the FVHS Vocal Music students teaching guitar and introductory music at the high school.  Daniel is currently the Director of Music at his home church, Living Waters, in Fountain Valley where he, his loving wife Tracy, and 3 beautiful children, Penelope, Dakota, and Ezekiel reside.

Morgan Parker – Asst. Director

 

Morgan Parker, an accomplished musician and dedicated educator, brings a rich tapestry of musical experience to Fountain Valley High School as the Assistant Choir Director. Holding a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Brigham Young University – Idaho, with a specialization in choral music, Morgan’s journey in the world of music has been nothing short of inspiring. With an exciting 5 years conducting choirs and orchestra, Morgan’s teaching expertise is on its way to becoming well-honed. His previous role at Mountain Ridge High School in Herriman, Utah, alongside the esteemed Kelly DeHaan, showcased his commitment to fostering musical excellence.

Morgan’s roots in the Fountain Valley High School Vocal Music program run deep, where he spent three years as an active member of Concert Choir and Troubadours. His leadership abilities were evident as he served as the choir board president during his senior year, leaving an indelible mark on the program. Beyond the high school setting, Morgan currently serves as the assistant conductor of Vocal Affinity, a semi-professional choir, and has been a valued member of Millennial Choirs and Orchestras for several years.

Morgan’s vocal prowess has been finely honed through training with esteemed instructors, including Kristine Ciesinsky, Dr. Paul Busselburg, and Dr. Randall Kempton. His conducting skills have been developed under the guidance of revered mentors David Torres and Rebecca Lord. Morgan’s versatility as a performer shines through his roles in musical theater productions, where he has taken on iconic characters such as Marius and Jean Val Jean in “Les Misérables,” Lumiere in “Beauty and the Beast,” Joseph in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” and most recently, Jamie in “The Last Five Years.” Additionally, his portrayal of Thomas in two productions of Rob Gardner’s “Lamb of God”, the most recent being featured at the Granada Theater in Santa Barbara, has earned him well-deserved recognition.

Morgan has a deep passion for music and dedication to education. He firmly believes in the transformative power of music and is committed to making singing accessible to all. His journey is a testament to the belief that music can change lives and create lasting memories.

Beyond the world of music, he finds joy in spending quality time with friends and family, often sharing the stage with his wife, Lindsey. An avid ocean lover and swimmer, Morgan draws inspiration from the sea. His love for hiking, travel, and culinary adventures makes him a true foodie, always on the lookout for the best local flavors.

Jordan Reynolds – Vocal Coach 

Jordan Reynolds is a classically trained tenor, musical theater performer, and an award-winning songwriter. He holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy from New England Conservatory and a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Brigham Young University.

In 2022, Jordan released his EP “The Deepest of Blues.” The EP received more than 200,000 streams on Spotify in its first year and was featured on a Spotify editorial playlist. He was a finalist in both the 2020 John Lennon Songwriting Contest and the 2022 International Songwriting Competition and was selected as a participant in the 2021 Johnny Mercer Songwriting Project.

Along with his career as a songwriter, Jordan is an active performer and voice teacher. He performs and teaches in classical, musical theater, and contemporary styles. Most recently, Jordan has been a featured soloist for Choral Arts Initiative and sings in choirs and as a solo performer across LA and Orange County. Jordan graduated from FVHS in 2010. 

Kylie Dornbush – Vocal Coach

 

Kylie Dornbush graduated from Northwestern State University of Louisiana with a Bachelor’s in Vocal Music Performance in 2023. After quitting ice skating in 6th grade, she decided to try a bunch of new things to find a different hobby: one of those being choir. Kylie has been singing in choir, taking voice lessons, and furthering her musicianship skills for 11 years now.

She was in Trouveres, Concert Choir, Troubadours, and Le Petit Neuf in her time at Fountain Valley, and she held the title of both section leader and student director. Kylie graduated from Fountain Valley in 2019.

At Northwestern, she was also named section leader and head of choir council. Kylie also went on to receive a 1st place gold award as a soloist in the Leonardo DaVinci International Choral Festival and 3rd place at the Louisiana Regional NATS competition. Kylie loves to do anything creative and also has a passion for video production and content creation. In her free time, she likes to explore the food scene in OC, travel, lounge around with her cat Meatloaf, and spend time with her partner and family.

Tricia Tran – Vocal Coach

 

Tricia Tran’s choral music training began when she was just a 6th grader in the Fountain Valley Middle School Singers under the direction of Kevin Tison. Years later, as a sophmore in high school, Tricia won the second ever Voice of Fountain Valley singing competition. In her senior year, she had the honor of student director as well as the recipient of the Vocal Music Coronet Award.

After graduating high school, she went on to study choral music education at California State University, Fullerton’s School of Music and graduated in May of 2022. Since then, Tricia has been a private vocal coach for two studios, Bee Music School and Soundscape Music Studios. At Bee Music School, Tricia is excited to have recently been promoted to head of the dance and vocal department. In her free time, Tricia often can be found performing at local festivals and singing competitions as a member and director of performance team, Aurora.

Elizabeth (Choate) Salvati – Vocal Coach

 

A vibrant artist both in presence and in expression, Elizabeth (Choate) Salvati (c) has been singing and relishing in music since she was young. Mrs. Salvati graduated from California Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music, with focused study in choral and vocal techniques. One of Mrs. Salvati’s greatest passions is to teach her students to love music, in that, her students may find the solace, beauty, and wonderful peace that the world of music offers. She would like nothing more than to help her students sing confidently, healthfully, and beautifully while creating a strong supportive artistic environment. Elizabeth has taught the vocal arts for many years including serving as head of voice for the Pacific Coast Conservatory in Riverside, California; and now currently is a voice instructor for esteemed theater company Christian Arts and Theater in Corona, California. You can find Elizabeth singing around southern California at wineries, churches, coffee shops and concerts. Recently, Elizabeth was invited to sing solo soprano on soon to be released indie film “The Tempest” by composer Joshua Rodriguez. Elizabeth graduated from FVHS in 2016.

Dominic Salvati – Vocal Coach

 

A passionate, exuberant vocalist, Dominic Salvati (a) was born into a musical family, having studied both instrumental and vocal performance through his formative years. In 2016, Salvati joined the Riverside City College Chamber Singers where he met his wife, Elizabeth, and married in 2019. Salvati is a prolific artist having sung lead roles in many theater productions, as well as the operatic arts as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte by Mozart, Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’elisir D’amore, and Roméo in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette with California Baptist university. He graduated from California Baptist University in Riverside California with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music, focusing his time in vocal studies. Recently, Salvati was a Semi-Finalist for the 2023 James Toland International Vocal Competition and is currently working as featured soloist for the Opera Buffs Inc in Los Angeles California.
